What do you think about the new "right to disconnect" law? I don't really get how enforcing it will work, but I think the idea is important. I used to have a boss who always emailed me urgently after hours, and it was pretty stressful not to mention annoying.

Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

I think it should be a law everywhere. My boss loves to send after hours slacks and then reads us the riot act if we don't respond. It's unprofessional
Great idea, but way too vague and enforcement is going to be a nightmare. The ideal outcome will be better management and productivity at companies so that employees are assigned tasks at the beginning of the day, rather than whenever a manager has time after back-to-back-to-back meetings. And hopefully there will be a better sense of what is actually urgent.
But as a former management consultant, I have no idea how those firms will deal with this rule. Contracts are written to include clauses for more than 40 hours per week, and everything is a fire drill.
I think it's a great concept in theory. However it totes depends on the industry you're in.
