150k if credit risk, I know the upper band is 200k but probably need to be true seasoned expert to negotiate there.

Interesting, thank you!

For 5 years I was going to say around $110 plus 20% bonus.

Is it Morgan Stanley ? I would say target 200k total comp if it is in Baltimore and 230 if in NYC

Depends on what kind of risk/location. I’m credit risk at a BB in West Coast, 3.5 yes exp, 120k base + 10-20% bonus.

MBB/ Big4 seem to use written case interviews lately. They give you a brief and an hour or so for preparation. You then present your case and provide recommendations. Anyone have samples for me?

Hi people! I am entering the very final step of an hiring process in a Capital Venture Company and my chances to get an offer seem solid. I passed through a recruiter and we spoke about salary expectations very early on. He told me that 110k for this specific role would be the max. He put me in touch with another startup where the range is higher (120k) but I have a preference for the VC company w/ lower compensation. Do you think there is room for negotiating higher than 110k?

Company (nonprofit) I am interviewing with is hosting an Open House event this weekend. I completed the interview process and was told I would hear back “in a couple weeks - after open enrollment”. Would it be a good idea to attend the Open House?

Hi all, currently have 2 YOE in Info Assurance at a company that deals with PII and PHI daily. For the future I am torn between trying to get into a more forensics focused role or continuing this track into a security architect role. Either way I would like to move into a bigger company (possibly FAANG or somewhere like AbbVie). Any advice on which path I should take (forensics or architecture) and what my next seps should be (certs etc.). Any and all input is welcome. Thanks in advance

Had a disagreement with someone today, still feel confident, but curious what people think. Simple -all equity partners/no profits interest, would you
A) allocate state income/losses/diff effective pro rata to the partner's share of federal income/loss - by the time the project closes to $0, all federal /state differences end up closed to $0, no state diff remains for each partner
B) maintain separate state capital accounts for purposes of determining target allocation of the state income/loss

Looking for some thoughts on the pros/cons of contract work/temp-to-perm roles VS full time direct hire? I’ve been an EA for 30 years and have always been direct hire.
