What is everyone seeing in terms of remote/flex work vs coming back to the office? I hear some of the majors are making flex permanent while others are 100% in the office.

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Anyone else frustrated by colleagues abusing WFH? I was hoping COVID would show that we’re capable of working from home as an option, but partners are getting annoyed that people are doing things like grocery shopping and getting their oil changed in the middle of the workday.

Hi I got IBM offer and Bangalore location but I would like to work from Chennai. They have not given any joining bonus and relocation also reimbursement till 25k only provided. Can I ask them for full wfh ? I know for first day induction i should go to office but since they're not providing any relocation allowance can I ask them to provide full wfh and change of base location to Chennai?? I asked about the project they say only after joining IBM I'll get to know. It's my first switch pls help

Hi everyone, I had a major surgery and am looking to find a remote position involving anything that isn’t 100% commission based or cold calling/agent positions. I started my career as an org social coordinator. 2 years later I’m now a generalist (Work in progress) - but I manage Google ads, org social, blog, seo, PR & affiliate programs.

I'm in contact with a couple of international companies (from startups to enterprise) that may be willing to hire me for a Customer Success Manager remote role based in Italy even though they do not have an entity in Italy. I'm looking for insights / personal experiences from people that may be in a similar position. The biggest doubt is if it's viable to manage it via a B2B (partita Iva) agreement.

I have 2+ years experience with Salesforce, before Salesforce I was a full-stack dev with some DevsOps experience. I worked for Finance Services and Oil & Gas companies. Right now, I wanted to make a switch to Aviation, Aerospace or Defense company. I’m in Texas, specifically Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. I would really appreciated if someone can help point me to that direction.

How do you invest and save for your children? I’m thinking about setting them up with custodial brokerage accounts but don’t want them to have a heyday at 18. Did you create irrevocable trusts or?? They are too young for earned income and I don’t own a business so no IRA investing opportunities here.

Can/should I represent myself (or in other words do not hire a buyer’s agent) when buying a new construction? Will I get the 3% that would have gone to the buyer’s agent, that i can put towards closing cost? I wouldn’t do this if buying an older property but I can’t think of much that an agent would add value in new construction purchase to justify the 3% cost. Thoughts/suggestions/guidance? Ofcrse I want to be compensated fairly. What is a good salary range to nego that I will be able to save and live comfortably?

So I need some help. Im in the oil and gas business. So I was just offered 3.50$ a hour and 100 day bonus. So it would be a big jump about 3000 more a month. But then my company came back and offered another 2.50 more on top of that but can’t match the day bonus but said they’re working on it. Did close the gap a little making the other job only about 1600 more a month. But new company said day bonus can jump to 150-200 opening that gap back up. HELP!!
