If they’re hiring, take it until something better comes along.
Worked there for several years. It’s a very account driven agency, and very political. Layoffs every May. It isn’t very chill despite that perception. Hectic and pettiness over very minor things. They do 1 or 2 great spots a year. Quality is way down since Sperling left. And it’s a bit like Logan’s Run there once you turn 40 start looking for another gig if you aren’t a VP.
This was my experience. I was laid off two years ago which in someways was a blessing. They have some sort of “people first” motto that goes by the wayside completely. Very petty management and very political, cliquey. There’s literal deadweight running the agency with massive salaries. They join meetings and derail entire projects to justify their salaries. The people in those positions do anything to solidify their power. I love working remotely but it’s clear the reason RPA has stayed remote is management loves sitting on the beach and cashing checks while lower levels do all the work. I had never experienced this kind of culture before joining. I still have PTSD. You’d be better of going to HAVAS or somewhere.
Worked there 2 years ago and they were super nice and great to work with. The work itself isn't anything special though.
Pretty chill shop from what I heard.

Santa Monica, Honda
Worked there about a decade ago. Good people. Decent WLB. Pay a little on the lower end of the spectrum. Honda can be a conservative client but they’re good people too. Solid work and occasionally some really good pieces make it through. Lots of “lifers” who have been there 15/20+ years.
The sort of notoriously under pay ppl but creatives seems to stay there a long time. In Santa Monica but I think they’re still remote at the moment
Cons: Extremely underpaid, politics, hard to get upward mobility.
Pros: Remote! Overall, people are nice. While work gets really busy as with every other agency, the standards are not too high, so if you’re okay with not going above and beyond, your wlb will be better than other agencies.
Depends on what you’re looking for, it’s not the sexy agency, and I wouldn’t stay there for too long, but it’s a good option if the job is not a priority for you right now and you want to have some balance until you figure out what’s next.
I worked there and loved it. Slow to promote and pay was not great though. Would go back.
