Since I do expect a slow down to occur in the short term, and I've noticed other firms pushing people to audit and other services with need, would it be rude to preemptively reach out to restructuring partners before my firm pushes us to audit? I really don't want to work in audit like at all. I'd prefer to stay in FDD, but I'd much prefer restructuring over audit

Should I continue working toward getting my CPA? I’m a second year staff in audit and just finished my 3 busy season (1st one from internship) and am burned out. I know I don’t want to stay in audit nor do I want my next job to be anything primarily accounting related. Can you fake it till you make it in IB?

Currently working as a Senior Auditor at EY, Toronto, focusing on public listed multinational companies . My ultimate goal is to become a lawyer and i am wondering if its a good idea to try for a Senior Associate role in Mergers and Acquisition transaction services line to get an idea and to help my personal statement for my law school application to show i am already equipped with experience from accounting perspective in mergers and acquisitions which lawyers deal with a lot. Does the type of audit client/industry matter when pivoting to FDD? Currently an A2 on a major asset management/PE client and wondering if I should request to change to a commercial/consumer goods client instead.

Describe some of the toughest, most complex deals you’ve ever been on.

Any tips for dealing with stress related to feeling like I am not working late enough? I feel I'm often receiving rather ambiguous deadlines (i.e., let's have the report done by next Friday) and not ultimately sure if I am on track or not.

Got offered 83k to start as an analyst for Deloitte’s controllership advisory position. Coming from one year. Of audit experience from pwc. Should I accept this pay from Deloitte? I hear A1’s in pwc advisory make 84k and A2’s make 95k. I feel used and undersold.
