What is the best corporate party you've been a part of? Usually everyone gets pretty excited for our christmas party but due to "cost cutting" it was just announced we will be having a smaller one. I know people are disappointed but I'm pretty happy I at least have my job (for now). But tbh I've only worked for 2 companies so haven't got to experience what others do for their parties

I was about to talk trash about my truck driving friends and blame them for my heatwave related problems. Then I remembered that I drive an SUV, not zero emission, and I'm not doing much better for the environment than they are. I'll just ask them what if the climate change believers are right and see what they say.

180k condo in booming area close to downtown or 85k condo in the suburbs?

I make 150, with no debt (car, student loans, etc), graduated 2021, and want to ensure I can invest and live comfortably. The total payment/HOA difference between the two is $1250 and $550 per month.

I’m thinking the appreciation will be much better in the 180K condo, but I think the 85K condo will allow me to invest in more rentals.

Weirdly enough renting in the same areas would be $1500+ for a smaller place🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m up for a promotion at work and I have no idea how much to ask for since it’s not a standard position. Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I went from a tier 1 engineer in managed servers to team lead with about a 10k increase in salary.I’m thinking about a 15k increase this time from 65k to 80k. Anybody in managed services have a similar position to compare

Role 2.
-95k base, 16% bonus, good benefits.
-National grocery chain.
