I used to try to go above and beyond for mine and honestly, over time I just realized that making his life easier is way more effective. My best tip is to discover what it is your boss dislikes most and take care of those things without him/her asking. I promise you, they will notice!
I try to show them I am proactive in anticipating my attorney’s needs, so I like to draft case summaries before they ask, and showcase initiative, and save them hours. I also have a running “ready-to-review” folder of templates for pleadings, client memos, and court notices so you can pull them instantly. Also, take notes on everything you do that saves them money or makes money, just so you can use numbers to prove you deserve the raise when the time for review comes.

Do your job the way they want you too. Do it to the best of your ability. Ask questions on things you are unsure of. Read paralegal books, learn research as much as possible (even if you don't need it), do NOT become dependent on Ai like the wave of people are doing, learn it yourself, ask other paralegal friends, practice at home on your off time.
See if the attorney will let you watch any of their CLE classes if they have downloaded and saved them in the CLE class software. Be vigilant, be determined, and pray literally pray alot.
