How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

I was doing some googling and I saw that PWC offers MBA hires 45k in comparison to MBBs at 70k +. Is this a bad joke? I can't imagine that PWC's target for MBA hires is widely different from MBB. In the US, the pay gap isn't that wide. Any reason behind this madness?

Has anyone switched labs for better lab quality/embryologist experience? Wondering if there is a significant difference between labs. We got poor results at our current clinic and, happens that our clinic is rated lower on SART website. Hey guys I’m trying to figure out the market rate for a staff tax accounting position as I am new to the industry. I am looking in Long Island New York any help would be great. Looking to start at a mid sized firm.

I work for a big GC in an entry level role. Most of the work is private, but they have some public projects in their portfolio. I graduated college this year with a civil engineering degree. How safe are CM jobs, especially at the entry level, with a probable recession in the near future?

Does anyone have anything to share about what it was like in this industry in ‘08 or the dot com bust? I’m sure it varies from company to company and from market to market. Any insight would be appreciated.

My husband wants to get into PM work in construction (Ideally WFH). Currently he’s doing lighting protection but has been very ambitious and deals a lot with multiple contractors on sites. He should be taking his Journeyman certification test early next year. Any advice for how he can make the shift into the PM world? He’s working to get his CAPM early March 2023 and should have his associates in business be the end of 2023. And advice is appreciated :)
