Due to a recent reorg not many leadership opportunities. But if you manage to get a leadership opportunity you will have 3-4 folks under you. If you are a Senior Manager or Director in charge of a team you are still billable at 78%. Teams fall under a certain team like finance or pubsec or tech, and then assigned sporadically under that. Projects are assigned to a team and you get a hodge lodge of whoever is available.
78% is the billable utilization target for the year. People leaders are staffed full-time on (usually just 1) project. I manage 6 people and am considered to have open slots available for additional people to be assigned. Part of comp as a people leader is tied to your team’s billable utilization- you will have 0 visibility/input into their project staffing… other than back channeling to line something up and hoping that it doesn’t get shut down
