Typical salary band for Consultant level for Risk & Advisory in HCOL? Got an offer for 90k + 10k signing so trying to see if this is high or just standard. 2 YOE, they mentioned promotion to SC in 6-8 months.

Do you think sticking it out in BL for 8 years pays off as far as in house prospects/salary go? Or is it all kind of the same after a certain time period. I’m in privacy if that helps (all aspects-trans, regulatory, lit).

Do companies sometimes offer "gifts of appreciation" if you're not selected for a merit increase? My manager randomly called me to let me know I was chosen for the "gift" this year bc of my "hard work & dedication", except now I'm learning other colleagues are receiving actual merits.

Hi Group, seems like it should be basic format, but I just can not get it to work. a list of data and want to alternate shade (blue,white,blue,etc) each line but if I have multiple lines I want to group together and they all shade the same. I want to group by the same data in column A, and the number of rows that are the same could vary. How did you learn those skills, and what types of documents do you speed read in practice? I do mostly litigation and am thinking that speed reading would help with research but maybe not things like doc review where you need to review for both responsiveness and privilege.

I think non-inclusive teams aren't revenue-efficient, but also aren't morally bad. Most just want to live in their bubble and not have their lives disrupted. If people want coworkers to talk football or cricket or fashion or LGBTQ+ rights with, that's entirely their prerogative. Companies and teams aren't just money printers, but also communities. You can't expect to fit into all communities.

I’ve learned recently about some traumatic events that family members of mine have gone through but I had no idea had occurred. Besides my parents divorcing I really have not experienced that many hardships or trauma in my life.
