What is the overall state of Salesforce CSG now? I’ve heard they are stabilizing after doing layoffs recently. Compared to working at an SI, what is the comp like for a director level role?

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

Do tech consultants make market rates? Maybe my perception is a bit warped because I’m getting paid 85k 3.5 YOE. Jumping to industry as a software engineer and will make 165k. Are consulting companies just shafting tech folks?
