What originally made you choose healthcare? I feel like everyone has a different reason or story behind it. Sometimes I think back on mine when shifts get tough. Would you make the same choice again?

Healthcare chose me. I wanted to go to college after HS and the place I wanted to go didn't have what I initially wanted so I chose Medical Assisting. I initially wanted to be an Elementary School Teacher but I am still able to work with kids working in Pediatrics.

I considered doing something in peds as well, but there’s so much school needed, and I don’t have the time or money for that right now.

model 3 vs the model s? I drove both and actually like the handling of the 3 better. I live in a city so the 3 would be much easier to park and move around. Cargo space seems fine. And it’s so much cheaper. What am I missing? If I wasn’t that concerned about the $ would I be silly to go for the 3?

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

I am a clinical research coordinator working in Austin, Texas. I have my Masters in Cell & Molecular Biology and have a year of laboratory research experience.

I’ve been in my position for 5 months now. I make $27 hourly which amounts to about $51,000 yearly. Am I being under paid? Are all coordinator positions hourly? As a laboratory researcher I was salary :(

How do I go about asking for a raise or should I explore other companies or medical schools that have clinical research?
