Why does my therapist make me feel worse almost every time after therapy? Is this for real ?

Agree with EY I found a clinical psychologist helpful and what helped us she was also a Christian. However you have to remember that sometimes in therapy you can feel worse as those deep down feelings that have been stored away begin to resurface and you face them. So that is part of the process. However the good thing is that once you face that “bad thing” and deal with it and let it go (I would say cast your cares on Jesus) you will begin to feel a lot more free and lighter. Also remember not to rely on feelings. They can be misleading. Remember there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel. And this too will pass

You also may have a bad therapist. Your therapist should validate your feelings and experiences, while simultaneously pushing you to challenge your reactions and conclusions to those experiences. If they're not doing that, you may need to search for another

Are you just seeing a “Therapist”? Does this person have valid and relevant certifications/qualifications?

Recommend you see a clinical Psychologist.

Just about anyone can call them self a “therapist” - doesn’t mean they’re legitimately qualified to be one.

I wanted to reschedule my hiring manager screen this week because I tested positive for covid and feeling sick with symptoms. Does anyone else suffer with paralysis? Mine is so bad I don’t even know what to do anymore. In example, something as simple as responding to a text with a heart and a “happy thanksgiving to you too” was all I needed to do and I didn’t. Now it’s Sunday and I feel awful responding so late. I’m procrastinating with life errands and feeling the burn. I do the biggest bare minimum at work and I’m pretty sure people are started to notice. My husband and I want to start a family so in preparation for pregnancy I tried lowered my Vyvanse dose from 40 mg to 30 mg to see if I could get by on lower dose. I feel like I’m not even taking medicine at all. When you lowered a dose did you get used to this feeling or should I know right away that this isn’t going to work? I feel withdrawal like my brain is slow and I can’t keep a thought in my mind long enough to finish the thought. I’m on day 4 and it sucks!

Okay so I was supposed to chat with a recruiter about sharing my reference contacts for a reference check. He's been MIA for three days citing that he's been under the weather.

I thought the power reserve on DJ41 Ref126333 was about 70hours, but I noticed it’s about 40-48 hours on mine. Wear mine about every other day, but not on weekends and then Monday morning when I go to wear it, it’s dead and have to wind it. Anyone else seeing this?

What do people use for writing samples? I’m 5 years out of school and a job posting asked for a writing sample. Coming up in 2 years with my girlfriend and worried I am beginning to get the feelings I started to feel prior to breaking up with my last girlfriend. I never felt before the way I felt about this

I no longer tell myself I want to be dead. Meds and therapy have helped. But I also seem to not care if I die or get a terminal illness or disease. Like I won’t put myself in danger but if I get a disease or illness I won’t mind either. Does anyone else feel like that? Maybe that’s one reason I don’t bother to get myself in shape.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. About month ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) and had to go through cardiac catheterization to get a stent.
I am in mid 30s and it's unbelievable that i have got this. Have been quite down mentally for last few weeks, and don't think if I can sustain the consulting life anymore.
I am working hard to stop the progression of disease and potentially reverse it. Hope things work out.

Frankly the state bar isn't a good resource and it's starting to impact my career in not practicing the law. I've been working for a non attorney job in my company for years and was recently told my suspension means I'd never get it.
