At Associate, you are doing great! Sooo much depends on where you are, your health, family situation, etc. Do the best you can do. Get out of debt or stay out, ENJOY life, but keep perspective that from point A to point B you will only earn $X. Hopefully, $xxxxxxxxxxx… And more importantly, don’t compare yourself to others. And next to that, enjoy all the relationships - business, personal and family. They ALL make a difference. Sone are transactional and that’s fine. You both get something from it. Others are spiritual. Treasure them.

For most of my career I have attempted to live by thirds - save 1/3, spend 1/3, “give” 1/3 - maybe cheating a little here as I use total comp and include taxes and charity in this last bucket. As others mentioned, lot of retirement savings here including 401k, back door Roth and pension plans…

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working as a contract TAS for 6 months in a medical device company. I started part time and as it became busier/my trainer quit, I became full-time. I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. For the salary expectation, I put in 85k which is in the range. I’m currently at 64k which is below the minimum of the range. Is this realistic?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
