Man insurance defense is rough.
Do the math. 2200 hours at 215 is 475K. I’ll assume you’re doing about half of the work on your own book, so that adds 150K to 250K to your contribution. Overall contribution is somewhere between 625 and 725. Call overhead 200K. Generously, your net contribution is 425-525 before your comp. I’d suggest somewhere in the 200s
Low, mid, high 200’s?

You made equity on a $300k book?!
Probably closer to 500k, that was a low, rough estimate. Either way, it’s not a requirement and many partners have no book with so many institutional clients.
I made like $350k as an income partner at an AM200… my “book” (or rather assigned clients) was close to yours. HCOL metro area
What's your firm's profits per equity partner?
About 400
