Hey brand side bowl! Hope it’s ok to post this brand side role here. A recruiter reached out to me for a social media strategist role at OnePlus in Dallas, however I’m not looking to move.
I told her I knew some qualified people, she gave me the Job description: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/1918378739
She also said if any qualified applicants are interested they can message her directly:

Okay, do you have equity? I only ask since you’re at a startup. If so, do you know when your company may be looking to make an exit? If no equity, leave and find a company that will pay you what you deserve. It sounds like you can find some roles that pay at least $85k, if not maybe higher. Also, it’s sounds like you are involved with some FP&A/ Finance functions and can likely garner at least $100k base [if you position yourself well on interviews] at your level. Check FP&A: https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/career/financial-planning-and-analysis-fpa/
I started at $45k base in 2019 to $155k base with 15% bonus + equity in 2023. If I did it, so can you. Send me a DM if you want to chat.
If there is an exit plan I would be involved. We looked into offers last summer and I helped put the documents together and gather all the necessary information. I know they are looking into it but are waiting till we get a few more larger clients that we have lined up over the next few months. Exit plan wouldn’t happen till after then so I’d imagine it’s at least another year
Leave seriously I can tell you my progression in 3yrs if that’ll give you any motivation
I’d love to talk a little more I’ll send a DM
I would say leave and go to a better funded company.
If you've already had a conversation about salary and this was the response then you can leave and find a position that better suits your growth.
If you like working there and didn't have the conversation yet, then you can talk to them and see what they say. One thing for sure, you have to look at for yourself, you're talented and get that money!!
How many years experience do you have? I was hired at $105K with no direct analyst experience but I’m also in NY which drives my salary as well
This is my first job out of college, live in St. Louis
Ask for more equity. Otherwise leave. You can have better risk return profile on additional cash you generate.
