I got an offer from another firm for 24lpa but they have shared the offer letter of DOJ after 2 months and asked me to negotiate my notice period or look for buyout. What should I do in this case? I’ve been getting contacted by PE/VC recruiters lately but I don’t think I’m ready to leave consulting yet. I’d like to do another year before I pivot but don’t want to burn any bridges. Is there a way to communicate this to recruiters and have an opportunity in the future or am I chalked?

I’m at PE ops but I’m interested in deal work. If recruiters reach out to me before my 1 year mark should I take them or wait it out? Worried about how it’ll look on my resume as a “job hopper” or if my current team will be upset
