I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review? Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

I am straight off the Mayflower white. Does applying look super tone-deaf? Is this an unofficial way of stating that they’re only considering non-white individuals for the role?

Hello all, I work full time as an RN at the VA. I’ve been looking for a side hustle to do on my own time. I would love to review cases such as prior authorization, records for 2nd opinions, etc. The positions that I come across generally require a commitment of at least 24 hrs which is not feasible. How do you deal with the following - 1) lack of general organization in life, note taking, keeping track of your relationships and 2) attention to detail. These 2 things have been bothering me a lot. We all are smart as hell but silly mistakes such as spelling mistakes, broader checks to be done on the deck is killing me.
