Need some advice. Recently joined my dream job, but the director I work for demonstrates toxic behavior. I have been only few months in this role and it would not look good if I start looking again. Is QEF inclusion dividend or not? Sometimes, I see QEF inclusion reported on Line 11i and sometimes on Line 6a. I think we can rely on Sec. 1293(c) but I think it’s not foolproof. My hunch is since QEF regime is tailored to treat the PFIC similar to domestic mutual funds, we should not treat the QEF inclusion as dividends. Any help is appreciated.

Can you unwind a PFIC filing done in 2018? Our Intl Dept determined erroneously an investment our partnership held was a PFIC. Is there any hope to unwind this? Amend to remove? Help!
