What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? I had an HR discussion at PWC UK 3 months ago which fell through and now I'm noticing any time I apply for a role there my resume doesn't clear the shortlist. Surprising cos I meet all the requirements

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Going through a closeout. 50-50 profit share allocation, but my business partner has been using the venture money at their personal piggy bank (hence the breakup). My accountants say because we agreed to 50-50 shares, the leftover money has to be divided equally.

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Starting in a junior BD Rep role to learn prospecting and earn quota history. Took a big paycut for the potential future earnings as an Account Exec. Did I dun goof? Probably. But I’ll regret it forever if I didn’t take my chance now when I’m still single and young-ish.
