Pros: more interesting, paid more, more flexibility in terms of types of projects and clients, better exit opps, not driving 3 hrs to clients in the suburbs every day, more consistent hours (no busy season)
Cons: ??? lol
Pros: redundant to cover everything everyone already said
Cons: one actual con is that the work is often times more unpredictable. How big a con this is varies from person to person.
Pros: more money
Cons: more hours and unpredictable schedule. I cannot schedule something on the weekdays even after the business hours) and had to frequently cancel my weekend plan as well.
Switched from audit to management consulting and do not regret it at all. I enjoy the work I do now, as it involves much more critical thinking.
Transferred to consulting as an associate (had 1.5 years of audit prior) , and did not have to get an MBA. Just had to pass the interview!
