PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

I was underpaid by $30-40K when I worked at GUT as a senior. They say it’s Miami COL adjustment but they’ll work you at a level above your title. Junior salary is $40K, meaning mid would be $60K with zero room for negotiation because hundreds of creatives will happily work there for that.
The benefits are poor even for ad agencies. They cover 50% of your healthcare plan, which is woeful especially when combined with a below average salary. Not to mention they don’t 401k match. I saw on another post that Arts & Letters pays for 100% of their employees’ healthcare; now that’s a small hot indie agency doing right by its people.
I believe the community pays OK for Miami. They wanted to pay me ~80K for a designer role. From what I saw on Glassdoor I think their ACDs make closer to 200K. It is a bit of a sweatshop though and from what I observed, it takes a while to get promoted.
And yeah, Miami prices are crazy. I’m near Ft Laud, my SO is in North Miami and pays $400 more than me for an apt in a rougher part of town.
They pay lower because they know there will be others lining up for the same role willing to take it.

Yes, but at those better places, they tell you the secrets about aliens.
Most shops do pay similar salaries. But the “better” ones do try and work you down to a bit less, in my experience.
The mid level position as a whole gets screwed more. You don’t/quite/ know you’re worth yet, some hotter agencies take advantage and will try the “you’re going to make so much work” and “it’s a privilege to be here” cards.
At the end of the day, the types of places you’re naming have more leverage because they have more talent knocking on their door.
That hasn’t been my experience at all.
Mid 90k
Mid-level creatives are paid generously at Droga, significantly more than I was offered at other shops.
I was paid very well as a mid at droga
i was definitely paid lowish as a mid level, like 70k.
Lowest I made as a senior in NYC was 90 but then eventually 110. 90 at a smaller place, 110 at a bigger place.
