What’s considered a good salary for an experienced external hire associate role at KPMG Deal Advisory-AAS in a HCOL (Los Angeles)?

Haven’t received my offer letter yet but my recruiter asked for my compensation expectation which I gave the range of $85k - $90k. Am I lowballing myself? Lol. I saw a PwC CMAAS experienced associate with a 92k salary with only 1 year of experience (external hire).

I have just recently accepted a position as Director of Compliance at a Fin-Tech company here in Naples, FL.. My previous 17 YOE were strictly in the Financial industry. is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. But I don’t think I couldn’t keep up already for a daily grind. The reason why I did not pursue it earlier in my career is that I am not from a target school and I do not have an MBA. lol thoughts?

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨
