Can vary widely. Worked at 2 global boutiques that were 400-800 consultants range.
First one didnt have equity partners so I assume they made mid to upper six figures, with the top 2-3 sellers hitting $1-2m.
Other had equity partners and median comp was $1m but senior Partners could do $2-3m during good years.
I worked at a boutique with ~700 employees years ago. Partners were around $400k base with substantial upside from variable comp. It was an eat what you kill firm, so partners got a chunk of that plus a firmwide profit share.
During my 4 years there, my partner had variable comp that ranged between $200-900k, with the latter being a banner year and the former being a low year.
