What's something that's clearly overpriced but you'll still splurge for? I recently walked into an ice cream store and ordered a small without looking at the price. It was $10, a few dollars more than what I'd consider reasonable. I know I can buy 2 half gallons at the grocery store for less, but at the time, it was worth every penny.

I splurged on some lovely, large porterhouse steaks! My husband grilled these up, worth every penny spent!

I will always pay more for local coffee from a shop or a meal at a local restaurant. Fast food has gotten more expensive but the minimum wage is much higher. I will pay a bit more to improve the quality of life of a minimum wage worker.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
