Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

I have major back issues due to a bad accident in my youth. I have an Aeron chair at home, and it was the best thing I ever bought. If you are balking at the price, there are office furniture liquidators that add new arm pads and casters and sell them as reconditioned. I bought a reconditioned one for my daughter's office, and you couldn't tell the difference from my new one. I bought the reconditioned one from Madison Seating and I couldn't be happier. I wish I knew about them when I bought my new one.
You're insane for even considering dropping that much on an Amazon brand lmao. You can get basically 2 Aerons for the price of one of those and it'll probably outlive you. And if for whatever reason you don't like HM, Steelcase is next on the list.
Only other answer is that you shouldn't be sitting for 8 hours straight, there isn't an office chair that exists that will be comfortable or heathy to sit that long

I have an Eames Executive Chair at home and it is the very best.

Yeah same for the Eames, McK1.
I use an Aeron stool chair and my wife use an embody from herman miller. It has been over 10 very comfortable years and they will last a lifetime.

This depends so much on your size. Is this for a home office? I'm a 5'2" female, my spouse is a 6'7". Our views of the best office chair are no where close to the same. Go to a store or two and sit in every one on the floor. Personally, I hate mesh. Other people swear by it. If you don't find what you want you will at least know what features matter so if you look online you can narrow it down based seat depth, width, arm height. Back height, adjustable lumbar support or no, etc.
Just got a Steelcase Gesture and loving it. Huge step up from the generic Staples chair I was using before.
