2 coworkers got to know each other Biblically in a bathroom stall at the office

funny

A guy at my last company came in drunk. Like drunk, drunk. Could smell him down the hall drunk. He was fired right away

One of my coworkers got fed up with claims and ended up cussing out a claimant and got fired

Working off the clock with manager approval

Hope the manager was also fired.

I wasn't there, I was on vacation when it occurred. At first, I thought my colleagues were teasing me by telling me what happened.

One of the developers, who looked like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, got extremely intoxicated. Our coworkers had tried to calm him down and get him sobered up, to no avail.

He then was shouting at the project manager. He then jumped on top of the PM's desk, lowered his pants, and took a #2! He was not offered counseling and was immediately fired and packed up / escorted off the premises.

I'm so glad I wasn't there as I grew up with an alcoholic parent, and that scene would have traumatized me.

Giving a customer a well deserved finger, behind their back.

Another customer saw and reported it.

Filing their personal taxes on the company computer during business hours at that.

A work friend of mine lost his job for spoofing the CEO’s email address when he sent a note to a retiring co-worker

In my offer letter it stated a signing bonus to be paid on the first available payroll after my start date. Its been a month since my first paycheck and HR and the Payroll team are incredibly unresponsive to my inquiry on where this bonus is. What’s the next course of action? Legal? I’m not at ACN anymore so not looking for ACN-specific advice.

Additional Posts in Insurance

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. Even though I’m licensed to write my own business, the sole producer in the company is my boss. I currently make 35k + 15k in commissions (approximately). Is this a normal salary? Or how much should I be making? Appreciate your help

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?
