I got through all the rounds of interviews (including 2 technical panels) at CrowdStrike before being assured that I was nearing the end of the process and was expected to receive an offer soon… almost two weeks ago now? Anyone else experienced this kind of delay from CS or similarly sized organizations? Did I get ghosted? Anything more I should be doing?

A Planner will argue he's a Strategist and a Strategist will actually take the time to talk about whether it should be called "planning" or "strategy."
The same difference between 12 and a dozen
One usually has a British accent.
Strategy should determine the What and the Why. Planning is the How. To JWT1’s point, don’t let a planner try to act like a strategist. They’re basically creating a comms plan and trying to pretend that it’s a strategy so they can feel like they’re in charge.
Completely depends on the agency. In my mind Planning is a more traditional term for what must people / agencies call strategist. Not sure where CD1 works but I’ve never heard the difference articulated that way and I’m a Strategy VP who’s been in the field for over a decade. (I’ve had titles that include planner, strategist, brand planner, brand strategist and marketing strategist depending on the agency)
Ha @cd1 you sound like someone I literally never want to cross paths with ever.
They’re the same.
Account goes in front of one and lots of specialties can go in front of the other.
Most of the time it's used interchangeably, though.
Agree, never ever heard what CD1 describes. 11 years’ experience
@CD1 I️ believe you’re just describing the difference between the terms “strategy” and “planning”, and not the difference between the roles....
You guys--come on now. For the people straining to come up with nuanced descriptions of the differences--you're saying your agency has both Planners and Strategists?
Does your Subway have both Sandwich Artists and Customer Liasons? Does your restaurant have Servers and Waiters?
Come on now.
CD1 sounds like he’s describing just... planning... which is a joint effort between a strategist/planner, accounts, creative lead
Strategy = the word HR replaced "planning" with in job opening titles in order to attract more ppl.
