Quick question - Has any teacher been in a situation where administration prints out evaluations from the past six years and asks for back-dated signatures of those evaluations because they just "learned" that those evaluations cannot go into personal folders unless there is a signature on them (bonus points - they also state that the past evaluations had been emailed to teachers before, and no teacher remembers ever getting said emails). Is this a common thing to expect from administration?

So this is awkward. I am planning to leave firm but the new job has a security process that will take 3 weeks to 2 months. I got an email from firm today for a 50k 2 year retention bonus that needs my signature next week. So what should I do? Sign it and pay back immediately but will pay even more since I will be taxed or delay signing? The manager could literally walk to me and ask why I didn't sign....

Anyone have experience with comp for a non tech role (finance, legal) at Coinbase? I was speaking with a recruiter at Coinbase and he stated that I would receive $60K in RSU for each year (quarterly vesting) I’m at the level I’m hired at. Is that normal to receive RSUs for an indefinite period of time each year? Not familiar with RSUs. Base and bonus target is 114K and 10% respectively.

Many candidates reject an offer from a company after getting the offer letter because they got a better offer elsewhere. So companies say that this costs them a lot. I want to understand what is this cost. Its not like they had to pay a person some money even if the candidtae didn't join. Also the joining bonus is paid after a candidate joins and is usually returned if left before a yr. So what cost do they talk about?
