With the huge budget my company sets aside for advertising, lots of people think that marketing execs are really well paid. I WISH!!!

Left b4 consulting for f500 industry (pharma). Much of what was promised was blatantly false or hasn’t panned out. However, the pay (around 300k) and WLB are real. And work is somewhat interesting - just isn’t what i signed up for, moves at a glacial pace and i have doubts about the potential of much of what my team is doing.

Am i crazy for considering returning to consulting like MBB in an M level role? In low 30s now and we have a very young child. Please roast me if i need to hear it. TIA!

Publicis Sapient - 22.7 lpa CTC, 20.5 fixed - SAL1
TIAA - 17.5 fixed, But HR is very rigid it seems to negotiate.

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

I have 2nd round (final?) with EY for Product Manager position. I am being told that’s it’s the same as first round but at different level (first was with Manager, this is with Senior Manager). How normal is it to be pulled off a trial team because you tell your boss you are moving after trial? I have a trial coming up first week of Oct. This case has been my baby, and I’m going to try it with my boss.
