I once had someone ask me questions about doing things that were illegal and/or unethical. At first I thought it was a standard thing to see if I was a straight shooter. And then I kind of wondered if they wanted to know if I'd be amenable to playing fast and loose. I didn't get the job, so I'll never know for sure.

Yikes, that’s really unsettling. I’d have the same reaction. Honestly, not getting that job might’ve been a blessing in disguise.
I was once asked if I could be an animal, what animal I would be and why. When I tell you I was so thrown off. I truly drew a blank on what to even say. It was so weird and I don't know what the point of it was.

Oh wow, that would’ve completely thrown me too. I’d probably blank just trying to figure out what they were even trying to learn from that question. Some of those “creative” interview questions really feel more confusing than helpful.
Isn’t this the most common interview question- what is your weakness? Then of course we know the right answer is to give them a strength and pretend its a weakness

The weakness question on its own feels pretty standard, but asking it through the lens of what a former manager would say makes it feel a lot more personal. At least to me, it crosses from a typical interview prompt into something that’s oddly intimate and uncomfortable.
