Beta blocker (propranolol) prescription. Stops your body physically from panicking but leaves your mind clear. It wears off in about an hour or two. The only drawback is you won’t be able to run up a flight of stairs without feeling exhausted while you’re on it because heartbeat won’t rise to meet the physical exertion. It’s unnoticeable otherwise.
Propananol 40mg. Do not pass go. Do not stop. Go directly to you doctor. It is not habit forming.

5mg gummy. Not joking. I have anxiety too. Especially in large groups. I took a mild weed gummy before going to an industry mixer event in LA and I legit felt less anxious. Still anxious, but not enough where I was able to function like a normal human being and hold some conversations.
Freelance CD 1 I love Camino brand gummies myself. I hate that a lot of gummies still have that Marijuana taste to them, but these actually don't taste like weed really at all. Honestly as a gummy itself, it's flavors and texture are really solid.
I have trouble sleeping so I love their Midnight Blueberry line as it helps me chill out. Their Freshly Squeezed orange gummies seem to help me when it comes to socializing and thinking creatively. But their other flavors have helped with this too.
When do you feel most confident? Dancing in front of the mirror? Singing in the car? Laughing with a close friend? Before you head into the networking situation take time to do that thing. It’ll give you a boost and calm your nerves.
Hi it’s me, a person with anxiety that needed to get over it to do some networking. Draft a template message that’s short and direct and requesting something simple, and send it to everyone you can think of. And I mean everyone. You’ll be shocked at how many people respond positively and are willing to help you.
For me, it was requesting a LinkedIn reco. I’ve never really done it and have always had anxiety about asking people for help, even though I’ve always been someone who will happily help the second I’m able to.
I drafted a 2 sentence LI message template, added a short sentence in front to customize it for each person, and blasted 100 people in a week. I just had to bite the bullet and force myself to do it.
The result was 8 new LI recommendations in two weeks, with over a dozen more promised or pending. More importantly, I’ve now initiated conversations with over a hundred people, and at least half of them have replied back. Of those, I have a good 5-10 new solid leads for new jobs.
The important thing was just forcing my way through the anxiety. The short message template helped, I didn’t have to think about it while my stomach was roiling and ants were crawling under my skin. Then, after I did it, I saw how many people in my life not only were willing to help me, but actively wanted to now that they knew I needed help.
You just gotta push through that first hump. The positive feedback will carry you after that.
1/2 a Hydroxizine, it calms the nerves but doesn't knock you out. It's an antihistamine.
