Still high demand, but supply is increasing. Pretty much every company I’ve worked for had sponsored programs to upskill. Even my mba had a mandatory 3 course analytics sequence.
Absolutely high demand but upscaling takes a lot of time unless you have an IT background. The new wave is data analytics an AI.
"Analyst" is such a wide term.. Still large demand, but increased supply too. Find your niche (industry, function, framework, specification, towards engineering/science, towards business/product etc).
Or call yourself an AI developer.
The demand exists but I think the folks coming in aren’t typically educated or trained to be good at analytics off the bat. I lead an analytics group and teach an employer sponsored upskilling program others have mentioned to a 50-60 person cohort and a lot of folks who have the skillsets to achieve right away aren’t the top program new hires, they’re folks who have spent time solving problems in their domain and get exposure to other tools in their toolkit.
Ahead
I see data engineering as the fastest growing, albeit a different skill set. The DA and DS people are struggling with the 50% of their job that is actually DE.

there’s demand analysts who can add high value from both right away.
Analytics (DAs) = high demand; data science = saturated.
