Employee count or offices, online reviews, and industry recognition, which I would probably give the least weight to. Try to look at as many factors as you can, but it’s only a small piece of the full picture.

Thanks. Any other factors you suggest to consider?
You can also consider their clients, some of them might be public companies that disclose how much goes to marketing and advertising.

Great point. Is there any section or somewhere specific I can find that information. I’m not very financially literate.

Headcount growth is actually one of the better proxies — LinkedIn shows hiring velocity and org depth without needing financials. Shrinking middle management is a red flag; consistent hiring at the senior level usually signals healthy revenue.
A few other signals worth tracking: client roster turnover (losing anchor accounts hits comp budgets fast), Glassdoor comp data by title, and new business wins in trade press like Ad Age or Campaign.
Glassdoor reviews are noisy but salary data by role is surprisingly reliable in aggregate.
