When the layoffs started a year ago, I thought the smartest choice for me was to quit tech entirely and figure out a new career, but a year later, I find myself still gravitating towards this field. Need some advice: Last year I left consulting to take a job in industry (a pay cut, but more freedom, WLB). Due to covid I switched to yet another company (same industry). This school year has been very challenging to me. I’m a instructional aide,one-on-one, in a general education classroom. Teacher has never really made conversation with me, sometimes I force a ‘good morning ‘ from her. Her silence around me just makes me uncomfortable and not welcomed in her classroom. She has made comments towards my student, saying that he doesn’t need an aide, or that students don’t need ‘babysitter’s at school’. Has any aide experience this in classroom?
