Your instinct that tech was shaky was fair. I mean, there were hundreds of thousands of layoffs and pay has cooled, but the market is now reshaping rather than collapsing. If you still feel pulled to tech, aim for roles tied to AI, cloud, data, or domain-specific tech (like fintech or healthtech), and signal security by showing you can work across tools, ship real projects, and plug directly into revenue or efficiency.

What is it that got you in tech in the first place and what is making you leaning towards leaving now?

I think this is a very good take especially in tech support, but OP complains about not liking what he's doing anymore, so I guess it is more of a matter of motivation?
Your instincts make sense. Tech still has opportunities, especially if you focus on roles that match your skills and are in demand. Highlighting impact, adaptability, and continuous learning usually helps position yourself more securely.
