I definitely pad the headcount! I’d rather have a bit too much than risk running out or missing an order. Plus, leftovers are always a win! It’s one of those things where over-preparing gives me peace of mind during meetings. Better safe than hungry, right?
Definitely. I’d rather have too much than not enough. I just stash any extras in the break room afterward... no complaints there.
Absolutely, always order extra. You can't have too much, really. Someone will eat the extra, or you can figure out how to store or distribute the leftovers. If you have too little, all people will remember is the meeting where you ran out of food. That's a disaster to avoid!
Always add 20%-30% extra given the budget allocation.
Extra can be donated but if you fall short of supplies, you'll have an unforgettable embarrassment.
I would always order a little extra but my boss won’t let me. I had to order bagels and coffee for 20 recently and I was told to order exactly 20 bagels. Pizza party I was only allowed to order 10 pizzas. We didn’t have enough. 40 accepted out of 70. We didn’t have enough. Upper management travels like crazy, offsites every month. But “we have to keep expenses down”. Not a good look.
I do the opposite! We always have no shows and a lot of extra food.
Yes pad headcount! It's definitely better than not having enough.
