Pretty much any company with an internal audit function. Work with a recruiter in your region. If you’re in Philly I can refer you to a recruiter I’ve worked with previously. She’s currently placing an internal audit senior for a Philly hybrid role.

Banks are always hiring

And insurance companies.

Banks and insurance are highly regulated industries. They’re always hiring for IA.

Any publicly traded companies

You could move into roles like risk management, compliance, or even finance leadership positions like FP&A or controller. Consulting or project management are also great options if you want variety in your work. What are you leaning toward?

Has anyone been successful in negotiating the schedule on a global pregnancy bill? My provider won't bill by visit and split the global cost into four payments all due by the 28th week. I don't understand how that's legal since it is so off the calendar of services and crosses calendar years (and insurance coverage), where most costs are incurred at the end of pregnancy with increased visit frequency and delivery.

Hi Fishes,

Could you please help me with with below scenario :
My YOE is 4.3 and ctc is 13 lpa. I am currently nominated for H1B 2023 and my petition is pending with USCIS for approval after lottery. I have heard H1B process could take months to complete. I always bill 100% of my time and for my entire career in public accounting I have never heard anything negative until recently.. I was told to watch my time as the client doesn’t like to pay these fees, and the partner is unhappy because it looks like I have high hours. Is the message that I should eat my time? Or is it that They think I’m inefficient?

What does a person do who doesn’t find any industry accounting jobs interesting? I’ve been trying to leave for 3-4 years and the only thing that interests me is people focused roles such as sales. Public accounting is a decent spot for me but I’m wanting a more consistent schedule of 40-50 and the self centered/dog eat dog culture of my firm continues to crush my soul more and more the longer I stay.
