Yep. Totally normal unfortunately. My best advice is to start making a training manual as you go and tune it up throughout your time there so you can be the one that better trains the next person.
Yeah, it does happen unfortunately. I would advise to not hesitate asking all the questions, because asking everything now is better than asking later down the road, by then which they may expect you to know and wonder why you don’t yet.

That's the nature of WFH. You get so much OTJ just being next to someone. You'll have to figure out how to extract those answers from them.
Yea, u have to ask. Otherwise you are screwed. Most ppl don't like to hand hold, because u might leave and they wasted time training you. So you gotta ask.
Don’t be shy about asking questions, and always take notes. Just try not to ask the same person all the time, that way you don’t take too much of one person’s time. If you’re truly lost, you could ask someone with similar work to have a call with you and let you watch their screen as they work through their own task
