My friends took me out to Good Night Charlie's. I had the most fun I had in years. Super nice place to let your hair down and go grab beer and dance.

EAT - Houston has a fantastic good scene. There was a post in this bowl a couple of weeks ago about the best restaurants and bars. Check it out.
DRINK - Saturday day drinking while watching football might as well be a hobby for most Houstonians
MUSEUMS - museum district has some great and underrated spots. NASA museum is also worth the drive if you have a car.
Tons of golf courses and weather is still warm enough to play if you brought your clubs / don’t mind renting.

Start the day at Drift or McIntyres on 20th street (do not buy vapes at the convenience store across from McIntyres - they never work), then head on down to Washington and check out handlebar, sporting club and bottled blonde. Once the games are over for the night, head downtown to Boots and Shoots and try to snag a table on the second floor (you can get bottle service for like $200). If it’s Saturday, towards the end of the night you’re going to want to head over to Barbarella (open til 3). Then go to Katz’s for some food.

Define fun
Depends on what you want to do. Usually, Texas is a state where people watch a LOT of football. So if that suits you, you can start by going to a sports bar and then meet some people for further plans.
Not sure of your age range, but there is An adult bouncy house that is on tour for the month of November. https://thebigbounceamerica.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=2022_HoustonTX_Prospecting_Family_Traffic_Advance_CostCap_DayParting&utm_content=Lookalike_Purchasers_1-10%25_Prospecting%2BMiles50&utm_term=23851361188540122%20Image%20-%20Sarasota%20Experience%20Facebook_Mobile_Feed
There’s also a lot of food truck parks that you can go to. My fave is Houston in Grub Park but of course there’s others. There is also a place that you can go Mario go carting, pottery, etc.
No problem! Hope you have a great time here!!
Some people might go to the Houston Zoo, while others might go to the Museum of Fine Arts. There are also a number of restaurants and bars in the city that can provide a fun night out.
Some popular places in Houston are the Kemah Boardwalk, and the Downtown Aquarium. These places offer a variety of activities and attractions that are sure to please people of all ages.
If OP is a young professional on their own I wouldn’t necessarily recommend either of these… maybe with a family.
1. Could rent a city bike (they’re at kiosks all over the place) and bike through Buffalo Bayou Park (or just go for a walk/jog) - really pretty skyline views.
2. If you like beer, there are some really popular breweries that have fun environments on the weekends - Saint Arnold’s, 8th Wonder, Karbach, and Buffalo Bayou Brewing just to name a few.
3. Lots of fun concert venues that have affordable shows (depending on the popularity of the acts) almost nightly. Check the schedules for White Oak Music Hall, Heights Theater, Warehouse Live, House of Blues.
4. Comedy/improv shows at Houston Improv, Secret Group, Music Box
5. Trivia nights at various bars around town (not sure where you’re staying but I always check Instagram pages of nearby bars to find their activity/specials announcements)
6. Themed/activity-based bars like Puttery (putt putt), Loft18 (golf simulator/bar, almost like an upscale bowling alley experience), Flight Club (darts), Cidercade (arcade)
7. Restaurants! There is so much good food here. Not sure your tastes/area but this list could be made up entirely of restaurants.
8. Ditto to whoever said Rooftop Cinema Club - cool & unique way to go to the movies. Usually great sunset skyline views.
Going to a local bar on weekends with friends is always fun!!
If dive bars are your cup of tea, Sassafras is a nice one on Pinemont Dr. Bring company!
Head up north and go to the VIP section (not regular VIP) at Fantasy or Chicas. It's also BYOB.
