Which agency is the most eager to replace its employees with AI? WPP, Omnicom, or Publicis? I'm voting Omnicom.

All. Of. Them.

And until AI can actually replace them they’ll just continue doing what all companies are doing… using AI as an excuse to lay off employees while quietly doubling the workload of those they keep, and/or offshore the work at fraction of cost to India.

Pay attention to the structure of the new biz contracts.

They position as performance variable with base pay. Really this means people are not tied to the client contract. If the agency can get by with AI, they reduce staff which is the highest agency expense.

Weavy + Figma can already do statics with little human involvement. ChatGPT can write copy. Every one of these agencies has client facing decks that point out these efficiencies. Say goodbye to your career.

I’m posting this here instead of my usual Big Law bowl because I’m guessing there are people here who will understand. I just need to vent. I am married to a wonderful man who has a young son. My husband is the kindest, most patient and supportive man I’ve ever met other than my dear late grandfather. He is saintly. But the chaos that surrounds him hurts me. I am the primary breadwinner and far out earn my husband and my stepson’s bio mom. I have always put pressure on myself to succeed (Cont.)

As a law student interested in going into the field I’ve seen a lot of negative comments saying that only lawyers who couldn’t get into big law go into PA. Although I know most people try to get into big law initially, it is very competitive and many don’t stay past 2-3 years. You certainly don’t make as much going into PA as a lawyer but the pay is certainly not bad and the WLB is generally much better. Can anyone speak to how they got into PA and if you would rather be working in Big Law

One time a guy creative was presenting his work and said “yeah this was just me being lazy and not wanting to do any work” and he literally suggested we do the same ads as last year, with a different celebrity plugged in. CDs in the meeting laughed and considered it for a minute. If I had presented that and said I was being lazy, I would prob be put on the chopping block.

Thoughts on giving less than 2 weeks notice?

I’m quite frustrated and ready to start new job ASAP. I’ve been at current job for nearly 3 years and anyone who might be potential reference for future jobs (old bosses) has already left the company. I have good relationships here otherwise too.
1.5 week notice will work out with my upcoming travel plans and personal life as well, but concerned about if agencies really put you on “do not rehire” list?

Anyone give less notice and get in trouble?

Remember The Woo? Yeah, me neither. Well, they cut everyone’s pay (except mgmt of course) by 1/4 to get the small biz gov loan, and used it to hire a $500k/yr mgmt head. Agency still working barebones
