Has anyone managed to get a counter offer from existing employer at Big 4? is it worth a try?

What’s a reasonable salary expectation for Big 4 IT Risk Assurance senior associate in low a COL city like Memphis, Birmingham, etc. Have a CPA, 2 yrs PA experience &1.5 yrs industry experience.

Does the size of the deals you work on impact your exit opps? I'm considering a role at an MM firm (non-PA firm) and they mentioned the deals are usually in the $200M area of size, which I realize is smaller than big 4 deals

Which is the most laid back, good WLB big 4 and why is it not Deloitte?

exit opportunities for someone who got a good gpa from a well known school and a cpa who thought they would be doing something cool while building a foundation for a fruitful career but got stuck on state/federal claims and related government work instead? or is a full restart needed?

S1 at B4 now but looking to do something more traditional (?) that will provide opportunity in finance/accounting and not something ‘risk’ oriented that will pigeonhole me.

Looking for advice. Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.

It’s now been about a month since I cold applied to all big 4 firms for upcoming winter internships. I’ve tried reaching out to some of the recruiters in the area I applied for but no response. Is this white flag territory or is there still hope? And if it’s the ladder is there anything I can do to speed up the process or is it just a waiting game.

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this? Meanwhile I'm taking other interviews and was offered a promotion at current company, but was very interested in this one. What would you do?
