Well I guess you’re after max comp to retire earlier, so it’s just a matter of how long u wanna stay in public I guess
Stay in public. Do advisory or FDD
Not of much Opportunities in advisory and FDD nowadays as I have been trying for days unfortunately
Public then jump to industry to max comp
Yeah but if you got to industry you just get a one-time jump. Public will continue to give you strong raises each year if you're in the right service line and play your cards right. I have older friends who jumped to industry a few years ago when they were managers, and I'm now a manager in PA making more then one of my friends whose a director in industry at Marriott... And industry comp includes RSUs, etc, which isn't as good as cash...
Find a sugar momma or daddy 🤣
Public accounting, as far as reliable significant annual comp increases. But, how long do you reasonably want to stay? What level are you now? SEC reporting pays well but you’d probably need to leave as a manager/SM with decent experience to get a higher paid VP/director level job at a public company.
I am currently a mid senior and I am unsure how long I should stay tbh
