Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. I am ok with everything but why i need to apply for credit card? How a company can force me to have a credit card? It will directly/indirectly alter the credit score right? Cogniza

Once every 2-3 weeks is still a decent amount of travel if you think of it like $500 flight plus $600 hotel plus $200 transportation plus $200 food., totaling $1500.
I'd still get the sapphire reserve, but the sapphire preferred is a nice medium with a far lower annual fee and still great value.
Remember that travel cards often have other rewards categories you can use in your daily life when ordering delivery, calling an uber, riding the subway, ordering coffee, etc, so the value is not limited to travel.
I mean the plat has so many other benefits it pays for itself between Uber, equinox, streaming, and hotel credits i get $800 in value before i get a single point
Sapphire reserve also has amazing travel benefits but is more balanced for everyday use. I have one and it’s amazing - let me know if you want a referral!
