Dear God I would pay money to opt for conference calls and never have to worry about my facial expressions on a zoom ever again
You can change the zoom setting so you can’t see your own face (not that I’ve been able to make myself do this but it is an option)
I’ve tried this, but I recently had clients get on the call and be like “Oh, this isn’t a zoom or teams? I like see each other so we can get to know each other better!” Of course I responded “No problem! Just give me 10 minutes to get back to my computer” as I frantically tried to find a clean shirt, shave, brush my hair, and brush my teeth (still don’t know why I do this for a zoom). In any event, I’m on the conference call team. I spent 10 years talking to you without seeing you and now there is a pandemic and I have to look at you everyday? No thanks.
Your post confirms that Zoom adds an entire layer of stress to an already stressful job.
We rarely offer zoom lol conference call all the way!
That ship has sailed.

Meh just dial in and say your computer audio isn’t working.
I actually really like that Zoom/Teams will tell you who’s talking, even if everyone has their cameras off. On larger group conference calls, it can get hard to track.
OMG I have been wondering this FOREVER! I hate having to get dressed up/put on makeup just for what should be a phone call! Zoom is so much more stressful!
