I will dress to the nines: best suit, shirt, tie, shoes, watch, the works. I feel invincible like that.

Not work related, but I absolutely must have tequila on hockey game days, even just a sip. Somehow this became a major superstition of mine during the playoffs years ago, and now I’m convinced that the Dallas Stars’ 8 game losing streak was my fault because I didn’t have any tequila on those game days. The day they finally won - tequila.

I’m from Kansas City and drink the Hunt family’s wine on big game days. Didn’t have any when they played Tampa in the Super Bowl, so I was convinced it was the wine. Until the Eagles broke my system in the ugliest Super Bowl I could’ve imagined.

I pray/meditate on stressful days and surrender myself to God and it helps me feel better/more in control despite giving up control. I dunno if that’s weird or not, but it works for me.

It’s only weird if you’re typically irreligious and then suddenly start praying that you make a deadline or are able to reverse work eff-ups.

I do that. I did that, today.

What is a simple way to explain to my boyfriend that investing in equity with an expected return of 10% is better than paying off debt that is growing at a rate of 6%. He has student loans and is adamant that he wants to pay all of them off immediately before saving any retirement money. I understand that many individuals use this strategy but I think investing in index funds for the long haul is better from a wealth accumulation perspective, without even factoring in tax implications of 401k

Hi all,

I am an IT professional having almost 5 years of experience and want to move to Canada for PR. My CRS score is not upto the cut off. I need someone who can help in earning connections points for Manitoba PNP program.

As it allows having an acquaintance or a friend to earn those 20 points, it can help my PR application.

Anyone who is PR and resident of Manitoba can dm me to discuss around it. I am ready to pay for this assistance as well.

I had a great review and a 5.5% raise and a great bonus at my company. But I also got a new Director and a peer manager of mine left the company, so I will be absorbing her team. In addition, my director said I will be receiving 'deep delegation' from them. I don't mind more work, but deep delegation is a new term I've never heard. What does that mean lol?

Any antitrust experts want to opine on the FB news? I’m certainly no expert, haven’t read the actual complaint, and am all for competition laws, but it does strike me as odd that the FTC is coming in long after the fact to scrutinize certain acquisitions.

Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?
