Probably going to ruffle some feathers over here, but single folks without children. We don't get to avail ourselves of a lot of the benefits companies offer, and we're the ones often left holding the bag while the parents are out on extended leaves.
So happy to see others who feel this way!
With the push for RTO,I would say working parents are the hard hit..firms should look into benefits like extended backup care or play schools at work..
I definitely think parents get left behind in terms of employee benefits. Similar to a 401K, it'd be incredible if companies would match 529s so parents can send their kids to college. Don't know how realistic this is

While some employers might consider it, most would resist it under the notion that it is too much of an added expense for little direct gain to the organization. Sure, it could be tied to a retention clawback clause, but the more rules that get applied to protect the company…the less value families see in the program which would eventually result in it dying to obscurity.
Employees with chronic pain/other disabilities. Having to use precious PTO for excessive doctors appointments or if your not feeling well (which happens a lot more than for most people) means less actual leave (that's fun/beneficial) than peers
