Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

I am expecting a counter offer with the same DOJ, but i wont be rejecting the current company i am joining, unless I see the offer from the countering org. Any suggestions on how to handle this situation? I appreciate AI; however, I'm concerned about how companies may have AI systems learning from employees' existing bodies of work without employees being compensated for that knowledge once they exit the company. Not sure if anything will be done to keep companies from considering that work as their own intellectual property since it was created by the employees working for them..
If a company is paying someone to work for them, they are paying for their tangible and intangible delivery of the work. What am I missing?
I’ve been an AI naysayer until recently. While I’m certainly reserving cautions towards a technology with such huge potential still in its infancy, I see the merits of using AI for mindless tasks: creative mockups, asset matrices, data processing.
Redirecting that energy leaves more time for tasks that require actual brain power, including training juniors whose time gets most impacted delivering monotonous time sucks.
I suspect it’ll be awhile before AI understands the context, nuance and culture to replace the account role entirely.
