I interviewed at a firm who posted in my home city BUT OH WAIT- JK! Actually wanted someone in a smaller, out of state market. I'd kill for them just being transparent as to where the actual job is.
My state (NJ) requires job descriptions to list a salary range. Makes it easier. Most also list whether remote, hybrid, or fully onsite.
Weird. In Florida they post the attendance policy and pay range in the description.
Not sure what jobs you're looking for but I see plenty of positions with no salary range - I do agree they are pretty good about RTO expectations.
Chief
So they don't pigeonhole themselves. Do you out your salary requirements or hybrid requirements on your resume?
No I dont but maybe that's an idea. Keen to know if anyone else does and it if gets picked up on when applying? Thanks
I think some states require that information by law! Others are SOL. Mine included. Agree on the time being wasted thing. Oh well
Not sure where you are. I’m in California and a salary range is required by law. Although I’ve seen a handful of companies (like Netflix) post a crazy unhelpful range like 50k-200k. Most companies post a realistic range.
After COVID, I’ve also seen almost all postings around here indicate whether the position is remote/in person/hybrid (and how many days, etc.) which is also super helpful.
