When is a 3 page resume acceptable?
Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs
Hi Fishes, Need some likes for DM.

ib2, i would LOVE to see a study showing that cognitive ability is even correlated to investment banking performance beyond some minimum threshold. I’d actually guess they’re NEGATIVELY correlated beyond a certain point - imagine how depressed a super genius programmer would be running comps for relatively mediocre banker colleagues
we should really screen for work ethic, personality, grit, some basic problem solving and (most importantly) genuine interest. it’s hard to do so tho
The point is do you care enough to do what should be the “easiest” part of an interview process. And there is enough material out there to prep you...
Actually... Yes, some schools do have specific programs. The idea was pioneered by Prof. Haeberle from Indiana University where he started an "IB workshop" for Juniors that places on par with target schools. Lots of other schools have copied the program with varying degrees of success.
Is it unrealistic or are you just not prepared
And that's the second best way to screen. Statistically, the most effective is cognitive ability testing. At the bottom of the list are resume screens and personality tests
Google doesn’t ask brain teasers anymore, BX execs on Bloomberg have stated limited technicals, etc
Lol when someone drops Haeberle’s name in fishbowl
