Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

Good pay. Low responsibility (yeah you make decisions but all high level with no responsibility to implement). Interesting work depending on the product. Requires a lot of the skills a general consultant can fulfill I.e. soft skills

Depends on model, I’m a PM-T and active in supporting testing and qualification for POC, functional testing, integrated testing, and UAT.
Tech money without having to have full technical expertise.
Levels.fyi for an idea of pay at faang. It's pretty 👍
This is also both a good and bad: many PMs (and SWEs) get stuck / stay at a terminal level. It’s much harder to make it to senior leadership (e.g. staff SWE) but it’s also a very cushy terminal level to rest and vest

Depends on Level / years of experience
Out of MBA at target schools, over 4 years which includes the typical vesting schedule its north of 160k but variable based on share price.
The hires that started under me 4 years ago, over 4 years are likely to avg about 205k per year (heavily dependent on their vest timeline)
